How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment?: I developed, and or improved upon the 21st Century skill, information skills, by doing another project that is heavily reliant on information so that I have more practice towards it to become better at presenting informative projects.
What was most difficult about completing this task?: I believe the most difficult thing about completing the project was fitting in the spanish vocabulary words into the presentation and making sure they made sense with what I was saying. How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do different?: I could improve my work from my spanish project by making eye contact with the audience and veering away from the notecards. I knew what I was saying, but I wasn't quite used to presenting in front of the class because we didn't really have in-person school a lot last year. If I could start over, what I would differently would be getting all of the information for the spanish speaking project done, so that I wouldn't have to worry as much about it and work on the poster, or practice presenting a bit more. |
Description of Work/Assignment: Last quarter we had a spanish project where the task was to do research on a spanish speaking country with a group. After doing research about Puerto Rico, (since it's the country we picked for the project), for a couple weeks we transferred our research to a neat poster board. Once we got our poster boards together and ready, it was time for the presentation. Since it was spanish class we had to make sure we a had a few spanish vocab words in our presentation as well.
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why?: The 21st Century Skill I feel best addresses this project/assignment would be information skills. For the project it was heavily based on gathering information on the spanish speaking country and present about it. Information skills would best represent with this project because we had to use technology to find the information that was needed to present the project effectively. What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why?: From this project/assignment I am most proud of working in the spanish vocab that was needed to be in the presentation. Along with being able to pronounce the words correctly and continue presenting. How does this relate to what you have learned in the past?: In the past I've done other projects based on spanish speaking countries. I did other countries for the other projects, so it was enjoyable to learn more about a different spanish speaking country.
How can you apply this to future learning?: I can apply this what I learned and gained from this project to my future of learning by already being familiar with purely informative presentations, and knowing what to look for when researching, so that way in the future it can help with other projects I may have. |
