For exhibition this year, due to Covid, and not being able to gather, it'll be virtual this year. The project I'm going to present for my exhibition will be my most recent integrative project, the Climate Change Drawdown literacy project. This last quarter we've been learning about Climate change, its impacts, and possible solutions. The Climate change drawdown project was a group project where a group of three had to find a solution that we all found interest in and create a website to present about the solution. The solution that I did a project on was Ocean Power. On the website we had to present about Ocean power and how its a clean and renewable solution, how it prevents or sequestered Co2, its impacts, how much it'll cost, etc... --- The goals of the assignment I'm presenting for exhibition: One goal/outcome for our project is to have Ocean Power used more often in the US and around the world, to have it more known and being able to use Ocean Power to create renewable energy instead of burning fossil fuels. Having Ocean Power more widely used would be beneficial for the Earth and the environment. We will know that we have accomplished our goal when Ocean Power is more known and used around the world as it will hopefully become a new revolutionary solution to creating energy/electricity. ---What I learned while doing this assignment? What went well that I'm proud of: What I learned while doing the assignment was more about climate change, about Ocean power, how it works, how it'll cut down the amount of Co2, and its effects. What I'm proud of is how during the project my group and I worked well together to complete the project and managed our time efficently. ---What did I struggle with while doing this assignment? What I realized I wanted to get better at: While doing the assignment I struggled with getting a reply back from companies on a couple of questions that we asked them as a group, because the companies specifically fund and help spread awareness about solutions like ours is why we thought we'd reach out to them. Due to sending the companies an email being part of our project made it difficult to answer the topics of where in Hawaii our solution could be implemented, and what our timeline for the solution would be. What I realized I want to get better at is spreading awareness about Climate Change and its effects on the Earth and being better about what I throw away. ---How does this assignment represent a 21st century skill: The 21st century skill that best fits for this project would be Global Awareness because the project was about coming up with a solution that would be beneficial global and create clean, renewable energy for the Earth.
